Stingray 26.5.11 Bang On

I'll fish any time of day or night , whether it makes a difference to my catches from the boat I don't know , I haven't been doing it long enough to tell , it definitely makes a huge difference to freshwater fishing , but the sea is completely different what with tides all at differnt times and heights etc
If I thought it would give me the edge though , I'd be out before the sunrise every time ;)

I never sleep the night before a fishing trip so I'd set off now (21.13pm) if I could :D

I remember excitedly ringing IanW years ago to tell him I'd won the skipper's bet (remember Norm? can't complain we've had a few brekkies since ;)) and bagged my first double, we were on the Henry wreck at the time and The Boys only does about 8knts so I assumed it was mid morning, it was 6.30am :red:

Maybe I got it all wrong .... (and I know I have) I keep saying things like got to be out for the flood tide, and get the last hours of the ebb, and get the time in as the suns rising ............ :) :) nah, Keiths got it spot on ....
I make any excuse to be out as soon as possible 00.00am would do me .... but unfortunately the one thing that is a constraint is light .......
here enters the excuses of nice sunrises, tides and all that ... somehow all these excuses mean I set the start time so as we get out "at first light" :) :) :) (regardless of tide :) ) ........ but dont tell Tone, he thinks I have some mystical formulaes for catches using tides and dates and sunrises ........ :) :)

roll on sunrise ....... :)
