Well witht he sun out it was time to do some real boat fishing and try some far off wrecks, 3 of us in total set off and tried a wide range of wrecks. It is still May so catches not what they should be for such a flat day and 0.1-0.3 drift for a few hours but we still managed..

10 codling
5 ling
15 mackerel
pouting etc

Nice flat day and i had factor 30 on for the 1st time in my life lol, with the sea getting rough again mid week i was glad to have had 4 days out of 5 wrecking

I was a good day but still not had the seasons 1st double.

It has been a cracking 4 days mind and it is good to see that May bloom starting to vanish afte rit was very thick on Wedensday. Until next weekend if the weather stays kind

I'm sure I saw you at the yellow can @ Whitley. We were on the dark blue & white open top boat. I got a huge mackerel just beside the can, biggest I ever caught, but must have been a fluke as not another one all day.

Yer we stopped for 20mins to have a couple of drifts but it was poor, never got any bites so moved on.
