We fished from St Mary’s just as the tide uncovered the causeway. As usual, Mark took the lead with a coddling and followed that with another and a scotchie. Not to be beaten by the young ‘un, and to save the first blank of the season, I pulled out this one, weighing in at 4lb 10. My best fish of the season so far. All the fish fell to fresh lug and mussel before tide and bait ran out.
