Just been and loaded the car full of lead again and thou i never got as luck as last time with the already made up leads :) i did get a good car boot full of clean new flashing but felt it was over priced, if i had shopped about i guess i would of got it cheaper, paid £1.25 per kg.

I was shocked at how much they had, must of been 12 ft long by 4 foot wide and 4 foot tall stack of it, the boot full i took did not make a dent :)

any scrap yard will sell u lead but shop around 2 get the best price.its expensive at the mo but u have 2 watch them they will have u over any chance they get i phoned 1 yard he was buying it at 1.30 a k but i ended up paying 1.15 ak should ov bought a tonn n took it 2 the other yard n made a quik 150

I just worked out how many 10oz leads i would get for what i spent on lead and added the cost of fuel to melt them....i would say i have saved £75 on 10oz leads based on local price of 90p.

Canny saving when you think i lose about 6-7 per trip and sometimes alot more on the 250ft+ down wrecks
