Has anyone read the article in BFM this month about using stones as weights when boat fishing? They are called Stonz and Boulderz and cost from £1.40 each depending on what size you require. They are actual stones with swivels fitted to them. I am sure they must be easy to make.

they are a bugger to make - there was a post on here once about them as the pebbles crack if you dont drill them slow enough. I will see if i can find post

No Phil it aint April yet. These guys are seriously trying to sell stones to boat anglers. will try to find out what the P & P is. I think it may depend on the weight. Just wondering if they deliver by tipper truck if you buy in bulk.

Pointless exercise i think using on boats. The best place for these is in rivers when crystal clear targeting wary chub and barble on shallow runs.

If anyone\'s interested, our lass says there\'s plenty of stones on her allotment. She\'s willing to let them go for just 10p each if you\'ll all come & dig them out for yourselves. Preferably before mid-April, as she needs to get her spuds in.
