storing unused ragworm!

hi all
was wondering can you freeze or salt ragworm like lugworm
is there anyone on here thats got a tip for keeping leftover rag??
any help would be most apreciated

If am gonna be more than a few days i salt em same as lug, or give em away lol ive gurd of people leaving them to rott and mixibg them in with cart etc..

Lods and lods salt in a tub str8t in to freezer ;D do it all the time

depends on how much you have left over if its only half a bag I normally give it away or if nobody about chuck them in the water give the fish a free feed or if more you have a perfect excuse to have another session just tell your lass they wont keep and your not wasting them thats my excuse for a sunday afternoon down the tyne works every time

Hi Russell, i normally salt them & and just throw them in the freezer, wene
thawed they are a bit soft but just whip plenty on the hook with bait elastic.

when you get home why dont you thread a couple on your hooks and traces then freeze ,when you go fishing put them in a flask and bring them out one at atime use frozen ,you can do this with lug or crab and mussel no waste or tying on when cold and you always have some bait to go fishing,ive caught decent fish on spare traces that ive frozen and used at a later date. davy.

Good idea that David, have done it in the past with mussel but never tried
worm, will give it a try next time i have any worm leftover, as i normally give
it to anyone still fishing.

chuck em in a small fishtank full of fresh sea water with an airstone inside , keep for weeks if its kept cold enough .

All my left over bait is made into armour mesh parcels and frozen when I get home. Works a treat.

i pour boiling hot water on the ragworm put them in a cat litter tray cover them in salt and put them in the fridge or freezer
