Alright lads and lasses. Got company coming down from Lossiemouth this weekend, and as we all love our Chinese food we're going to combine a day in Newcastle with a decent nosh.

So which are the best places on Stowell St ? We've been to the all you can eat buffet ones, but we fancy something a bit more upmarket.

Help !!

I LOVE chinese food and i can say i have been to 100%, yes that is every single one in Stowell street and a few in other parts of the toon.

As Keith says King Neptune would be the 1st choice for a off a menu ordering, the new Lou's opp the Gate has a much greater choice and class of food than the old Lou's but is a buffett style.

Then there is alwasy the one the footballers go to under the high level bridge just up from the quay side but i cant for the life of me remember its name. food was nice but it was packed out last year when i went.

if you like dim sum try the one next to above the Chinese supermarket. good food and full of Chinese......always a good sign.

Its called the Palace Garden.

If its upmarket youre after try Fujiyama...its japanese and fantastic fun as well as top notch food...Just continue along Stowell Street and you will find it...enjoy
