strange catch

must be the last whiting i caught from horden...thought it was gonna be a pig when i had to adopt the pump and wind technique and adjust the drag on the the slosh. it still felt like a biggie when i noticed my fish was actually suspended in the air and i was battling a buried rig attached my rig

Was fishing on my mates boat next to the yellow can off whitley. got a stonking bite and it began to take line. 30minutes later it finally surfaced. 2 bloody lobster pots connected by a rope. Worst thing was the pots were empty.

Fished the Sugar Sands at Longhoughton in a club match a few years back, and although I didn't hook into it there was a large Green Wheely bin literally 50 - 60 yards in the surf!

I caught a tree once. My rod doubled over and I could feel a strong pull moving slowly down river so I ended up chasing it along the walkway until after much heaving and struggling I saw a couple of branches break the surface. Gutted , thought I was into my PB :D
