stuffed squid bait

ive tried using squid stuffed with bits of mackerel and mussel then bound it to my hook then just before i cast i stab it a bit to let the juices and scent out....what i was thinking tho was chucking an extra ingredient in - one of them luminous tip lights .... what do you reckon ?? any point ? i thought the scent and light might get the fish attracted

anyhow im giving it a go tomorrow night so ill let you kno how it goes

( odds are though if i dont land anything ill blame the new tactic - if i do land owt ill end up sticking a tip light in everythin!!!!! )

Give it a go anth you\'ve got nothing to lose at all by trying. I\'ve used chemical lights near my hook length for years when fishing at night and it certainly hasn\'t had any adverse affect. An added bonus is the benefit of spotting your terminal tackle much easier when reeling in.

well the squid looked the business !!!! stuffed it with extra bait and punctured it a bit to get the scent out ....

not one bite !! me mate ( whos been fishing years ) didnt even get a bite... all that happened was every cast was a snagged line cos the current was running strong as owt and dragging he line out

i reckon the idea would be good for boat fishing....a few of them squid on a big trace would be the dogz danglies

try stuffing the squid with crab i hear sports and leisure in blyth have some good ones in at the moment
