went up to fish the match with a few lads from NESA, fishaman,CK, Crack-off and a couple of his m8s.sat night on the **** seemed like a good idea until the double vodkas and redbull started flowing (god i now remember why i stopped drinking spirits)fished the match with the worst hangover i have had in a long time and still feeling crap.
Gav tried unsuccesfully a few times to get a photo on my phone of these 2 birds dressed in full bunny girl outfits lol,got one of them doing a lezza kiss but its a bit dark lol.
started the match with 4 codling and two doggies in the first hr and disaster i snapped the top 4" of my beloved appollo.Chris stepped in straight away and gave me his rod as i was getting a good bag going(thanks Chris)got hung up with a good fish next cast, and had to leave that mark as the tide was now pushing very fast.ended up@ elephant rock and had another 2 codling & a scorpion fish out of there, had a codling taking out my bag that was suppossedly undersized but it was 1/2cm over on a SAMF measure so i missed out on 3rd heaviest bag with 20lb10oz
Gavs m8 Paul lunn was 2nd with 25lb. Well done Paul.
the hair of the dog doesnt seem to be working so i am of to my kip

Gordon - i'm guessing i know where you fished? shame about the rod - but you do have another apollo! and you can always borrow mine - but dont break it! Sounds like you had a good night out too! I've never seen gogs drink vodka, so well done to who-ever twisted his arm! wish i could've been there to fish.... but i had to take the boat out here in mission bay and go wakeboarding and tubing all day..... followed by a good soak in the jacquzzi with beer and bbq going! its a tough life...... total cost for 3people.... $20 fuel, $9 breakfast, $21 lunch. water temp was a little cooler today though.... 70 deg F (21 deg C!!!), but we braved it in our shorts... torture huh?

Was going to say Gogs get in touch with Greys cos they sorted mine out last year when I snapped the tip off. Small charge of £30 better than £200.

thought they gave a unconditional lifetime warranty if so why do you pay £30,not that I would mind paying £30 as you stated Peter

Alan the new appollo's have the lifetime warranty not the mark 1's
Pete i am paying a bit more than that but still better than buying a new rod, and i really like my appollo, i have another brand new mark 1 but i want to keep that as a spare in case you cant get them repaired in the future.
David i was saying something similar on the lines of "wish it was 4 so i can go home"

Alan as Davy and Pete say ,Class rods the mark 1's if you see another one go for it. i think mine snapped as its had a good few clatters against the rocks after the (THEY DONT FALL DOWN) rod rest from a certain guy down south went over one time to many in the slightest of breezes and i had a feeling it was going to snap at some point.just glad it was now and not in the height of the winter season.
