We fished the comp on Sat night, total blank, not even a bite, started off at the little bay between Lloyds hailing station & what looks like the new?? lifeboat station, nowt, went over the "wall" to the little sandy beach on the right hand side of thehailing station,,, nowt, went to Tynemouth haven just down from the club house,, you guessed it nowt, getting a little desperate by now 1/2 way through the comp & not even a bite,, Whitley Bay here we come, drove down to the Panama, one of my best "fishing positions" sea looking great although a little windy, well alot windy, 2 hours of trying everything,, big baits little baits, rag, lug, squid, maccy. mussle, you name it we tried it,,, Nowt, .....had today off & went for a quick chuck ,, had a wee look at the boat house W/Bay well weedy,Blyth too rough, gave the harbour a quick look at"" ye'that'l do basicaly waisting Sat nights bait that was left over,,,,first cuck ,a cod 1 1/4 lb put him back,, 10mins later a canny 2lb came in, then an hour or so later a nice 1 1/2lb cod,, Coza followed up with a double strike of a well sized flatty & a small cod, AS I said bloody typical, fished with all the gear on Sat- nowt, went for a few hours cos we had nothing better to do,, you catch , Its a mad world,,, the hail and rain put us off in the end, it was just a little too much, so we retired to the warmth of the Kittiwake & a few cold ones.... still I enjoyed it & so did Coza, Any one know why the East pier was getting buzzed by the Police helecopter ??? It was buzzing up & down for about 1/2 hour Cheers Tich best part of the night Coza landing a black bin liner" Its the best fight I'v had for years '',me best part was pie& chips on the way back I was starving
