posted on 18/10/2004 at 08:09Fished the Mill Dam on Sunday morning. Fished from 6 until 10:30. Bad weather at the start of the session with both wind and rain but it cleared up a bit around 8:45. Used cocktails of Lug/Rag/Squid. Got five undersized Whiting which were all returned. I remember reading on the site recently that this place was a tackle graveyard and I have to agree. I fished the area just to the left of the flats and every other cast ended in a snag. Ended up losing three sinkers (which were of the wired type), and also lost two shock leaders. The leaders were coming back in chafed to hell so I had to change them.I dont know what it is down there thats wrecking lines but I guess that its probably old chains etc, etc, from the old Middle Docks days. Never mind though, a session is a session and at least I didnt blank.
Cheers.
