Had a couple of chucks into the harbour with a 3 hook flapper rig, hoping for whiting, and pulled in a decent flounder, an undersize whiting and a sodden eel. Starting to look good me thinks and then a bloody rat comes along and starts hassling me

. The persistent little sod wouldn't be scared off so I decided to leave. Snag number two - the waves were crashing over the rocks at the first gate where I needed to climb around. Ended up squeezing between the spinning spikey things at the hinge side of the gate (not an easy feat with a seat box, two rods and a tripod

Overall a night best forgotten (and still loads of bait to use up
