was out with gogs today at a mark shown to us by david storey(stores) results were
gogs 2 cod best 4lbs and two wrasse about 3lbs each
fishaman 1 cod 2 wrasse best about 5.5 lbs
good day had by both

I hope the donkeys tail wasn't counted as part of that 4lb Gordon!

Nice pictures guys. When Rod and I were looking at the mark last week I said I had fished it with the old man but couldn't remember catching anything and I think we were plagued with wrasse then. Did you fish over high water as the end (the VERY end) looks a good shot. It was too rough when we were there but I suspect it's worth a go.

Mike it was 4lb without the donkey lol.
David the pic with me is taking from the very end,it was a bite a chuck there but i suspect they were small wrasse that couldnt get a big bait in there gob had a 3lb+ wrasse out of that end hole first chuck,we fished over low and ended up back at the bit where the stepping stones are to get on the island.
Had Gavin on the phone and his m8 potsy won his match from there today with 32lb mostly wrasse.

Funny isn't it - fish around the corner and it's all codling (going right). Fish what seems to be a more open aspect and there's loads of wrasse. Still a lot to learn me thinks. Need to get the scuba gear on.

on hindsight David i wish we had gone into the bay(to the right) and fished under the cliffs as you describe in the book as the walk back is a piece of **** compaired to that gulley,and there are plenty of rock ends to try out as the tide floods. (still suffering chest pains from that climb yesterday)

Hah Hah Hah Gordon..... Don't forget 60 year old Rod The Cod has been up and down there twice in a week, also the walk at the bottom of the cliffs requires a modicom of scrambling skills. You catch nothing for nothing up St Abbs, lest you forget
