Four of us made it out today.......the sea had quite a North Easterley swell on it which didn't fill us with too much confidence.

After anchoring up off Hendon North Eastern beach we settled in for what was going to be an uncomfortable session, (but safe all the same).

Having been a good lad and stopped in the previous night I thought I should be Ok for the day......how wrong could I be. Whilst I know that it's the lazy swell gets me I've never suffered from sea sickness so much in my entire fishing life as I did today.....!!! After landing a few codling I started to feel the strain and all hell broke loose...... Hueeeeeyyyyyyyyy. I carried on for a while and managed to get 3 Codling in total to around 5lb in weight. At 11 o'clock I had to take a break as Huey was on the way again..........Hueeeeeeyyyyy. One more hueeeeeyyy followed after getting a smell of Davey cooking up lunch of Sausage and white pudding.

For those of you who know me, you won't beleive this but I didn't have a single thing to eat all day......not even the sausage sandwich some tw@t was trying to shove in my face. Friends(?) can be really cruel...!!!

I was ill till around 2 o'clock and started fishing again with no more fish before coming in around 4 o'clock.

Using the usual flowing traces and bait incluing fresh peeler, blacks, lug, razor and mussell we ended up with 12 x Codling to 5lb plus the usual Pouting etc....no whiting for a change. Probably a little rough for them.

Anyway I must confess this was the worst day I've spent afloat. I've taken the mick out of people in the past as I thought I had cast iron guts and wouldn't be caught out....not true. Whilst I'd only be kidding myself if I said I wasn't going to take the mick out of people in future I think I'll refrain from shoving food in their face....!!!

Anyway....my three course chinese has just arrived so I'm going to have to cut short. My stomach's got some catching up to do.

Jeff.

No camera phones Keith mate....friends not that bright, (either that or too busy laughing).

In fairness, the skipper who was genuinely concerned asked me if I wanted to be taken back in as we were only 5 mins from the dock. I declined, imagine the stick I'd take for that for the next 25years...!!

Well, see ya's all in a week. I'm off to bed as the sickness has screwed me up. Early start tomorrow, going to Gran Canaria for a much needed weeks holiday.

Chow,
Jeff.

Strawberry milkshake and a jam sandwhich before you go out is the best for see sickness. It doesnt stop you being sick but it doesnt taste too bad on the way back up lol.

Glad you caught fish Jeff after not being out for so long lol and enjoy your holiday.
