Bit of a non catch report really, but it'll only make sense to 3 people anyways

Started out at the Wherry at 7am with our keed and moved onto the rocks as soon as the tide allowed.

Good knocks from point A (north and south shots) with rag or sandeel, however nothing landed and no cocktails worked, even tipping the rag was enough to stop the bites

Nothing at B or C

Continued south, checking out marks at regular intervals until we hit Wreck Point, again a few knocks but nothing to show for them.

However it was a canny recce session and we've found a few good shots for the coming winter (we hope)

Highlight of the day was our keed catching a hagfish in the sand with his fingers and then throwing it into a rockpool when he was slimed, also saw a dead one?

Had an excellent (sometimes close up) view of the Red Arrows display and the weather was red hot. Downside was wringing out me pants when I took the chesties off

P.S. Bribones is gonna be a millionaire if our keed keeps fishing here

That's providing Greenpeace don't catch up with me and have me locked up for polluting the sea with lead

Lol Rob

At A, B and C we used mussel, mussel and more mussel.
Soon as worm baits were tried, the knocks stopped.

Davey......join the club. m8.....hahahaha......there must be enough lead down there to build a nuclear storage facility

Hagfish???.....Oh what a delight they are, eh?........lol

Definitely worth a recce of that whole area at L/W, Rob.
The area iteslf isn't THAT big, but there are loads of potentially "good shots" worth trying........just a bit of a trek over rocks - some as big as hooses......lol

I have been very lucky never to have caught a Hagfish yet. Mind I have had my gear slimed a few times lol, NOT nice at all.

Jim.

We tried mussel, frozen crab, razorfish, mackerel, sandeel and ragworm and, like I said, we only got knocks with either ragworm by itself or sandeel by itself, nowt else worked

Just goes to show, what catches one day doesn't get a look in the next.
