was going to change the line on my reel as im using 30lb ultima distance straight thru was thinking of changing over to the sufix tritanium can anyone give me any reviews on it cheers daz

Tritanium is the best line I've used, generally use 15/20lb but have 30 on a 535
Found the tritanium miles better than F1 and Distance in the 15lb

Just about all I use these days mate, superb in 30lb on the rocks. Just put some 15lb on my little reels & well impressed with that too - casts very nicely and very strong.

Gary :)

cheers lads tried using a few lines but not been too happy with them also been told that if i drop to between 15-20lb line my casting difference would improve more aswell think i might have to get some and give it a try

I dont rate suffix its strong but very very wiry, quite thick and doesnt cast too well. Greylon 40lb is slightly thinner than 30lb suffix and better in my opinion provided knots are tied correctly.

Suffix tends to split into fragments a bit like a banana skin.

At the end of the day line is line, i wouldnt get too hung up on it in the heavier strains.

Be careful with lighter line, my favourites a F1 black, greylon, trilene, sakuma, sensor

It musnt be very rough where your fishing if you can use 20lb!!

You need 30lb plus for the very rough stuff!
he probably uses 60lb --70lb shockleader but forgot to mention that, as use 20lb main line and a 50lb shockleader and does me fine, usually incorperate a rotton bottom as well on really rough ground

i use 40lb and a 80lb leader tied with a bimini twist, pulls the plug out (and snagged fish!!!)

20lb is fine over mixed ground but way too light in kelp.

Dizzy where do you get your distance in 30lb? I use it and like it but having trouble locating some, cant help you with the tritanium though.

Same set up as me but i use 20lb with a bimini twist and a 60lb leader and in very heavy kelp beds

never lost a fish this way but on some marks i have the advantage of distance as the 20lb casts very well and i can get away with using a 525 sized reel not having to use a 535 sized reel
