Summer lure fishing

Got a mate who was working over in the States last year and he brought us a selection of saltwater flies and leadheads back to try. As I busted my ankle at Whithorn last March I never got the chance to try mine out, but he did and they worked a treat on the local pollack, so I\'m itching to get over there and try them out. :D

These are the saltwater flies:

And these are the leadheads:

Point of the story is that I have priced similar items in this country (especially the flies) and they retail at about £1.50 each. The entire box of flies cost him about £25 in total and the leadheads were about £5.

Makes you sick when you think about the choice we have over here (and the cost)

Got some Storm Shads last year, but never really gave them a try over Scotland last summer. I\'ll give them a good go when I\'m over there on my hols and see what happens. The flies look good Rob, would like to give them a bash as well.

I try and get over a few times during the summer Graham, tends to be just for the day though with work/family etc. Missed out altogether last year with my knackered ankle so I\'m itching to get back over.

As well as the saltwater flies I\'m gonna try and have a bash at the mullet, plus all the other marks Keegy has mentioned for tope, ray and bass ;)

Six foot Steve...What\'s the crack with ordering thru Askari as if I remember rightly you had to order goods over £30 with your first order or have I caught the wrong end of the stick.

Rob/Davy what colour storm shads are you\'s using or does it not matter, the guy in that Ebay link says he has loads of colours ?

Alan, I\'ve also got the blue ones and the silver/black and pearlescent ones as well. Try pringlecarl on ebay for the storm shad copies, I\'ve found them to be just as good (and the lad only lives in Seaton Delaval)
