Had a dodge to Herndon prom last week to use a bit rag I had in the fridge before it snuffed it.
I arrived around 90 mins before high tide and started with rag and mussel with a gripper. The sea was pretty flat and didn't get a knock. On my next cast I put a normal lead on to sea if it made a difference. I got a couple of bites but the was getting to much slack line with the lead moving.
I stuck a gripper back on with rag and squid and got a 5lb 9oz cod . This is my pb sea fish so was well chuffed. I had another couple of bites but couldn't hit them.
