pier is numbered 1-100 for example, every 2 mtrs is a number , you draw a peg at the start - say peg 30 and that's where you fish for the day .

Is there any need for saying tight lines after every statement?
Not being rude but it seems like a affliction of some sort

It means you draw a number for corresponding number marked on the pier.Only Seaham use this method on N.E. piers
 
Thanks for the info lads. Never fished a competition before and just trying to get most info I can before I enter one. I may enter this like, nothing to loose really, well maybe some rigs ha ha
