If it's open you can fish it mate not pegged as its a open pier just the 2 metre rule applies

pier is numbered 1-100 for example, every 2 mtrs is a number , you draw a peg at the start - say peg 30 and that's where you fish for the day .

It means you draw a number for corresponding number marked on the pier.Only Seaham use this method on N.E. piers
