Been to take a look at Sunderland Marina today.
I think I remember I have spoke to people in the past who have had boats moored in the South docks. Is this possible?
Cheers,
Geoff

Thanks codseeker.
I have been looking at the price of kitting my trailer out, and my missus suggested putting it in the Marina. I think it will get a lot more use this way.

A few lads at work have been saying they have to take their boats out of the south dock and are mooring them in the river, cant remember the reason why though.
I just got my mooring fees in today for the marina £1790, OUCH !!!!

jester, thats a bit steep isnt it? how long is your boat? royal quays are charging £235.50 pm per metre so if i decide to go with them its going to be £1436.55 for the 12 month(6.10m boat) and i thought that was dear:o

The boat is 6.35 metres, the fees went up by £65 this year but i'm not complaining really. I like the marina as its not tidal and no loch gates and only half a mile from the open sea. I think for a 6m boat its about £1600 and if you moor on the chains its £700....:)
