I love my m427 , there is 2 differant one m427 standerd and m427 hi flex, i have the standerd one for the rough ground work ,but i have used it on the beach aswell,great bite detection.i also cast off the ground the butt is stiffer than the hi flex ,the hi flex would suite a pendulum cast better.....

thier is another 1 called the m427su which stands for stepped up it,s even stiffer

Ive got the high flex it has the same butt as the m427 standard and has a hi flex tip which means the last 2 foot of the tip section nearest the spigot is a bit softer than the standard m427 so it flex's it out casts my century kompressor SS and Eliminator and looking forward to really getting to grips with it on the field this summer, am still on the look out for a m427 standard or SU secondhand in mint condition for the rocks and pier. Great rods.
