My first club match sat morning 8am - undecided between hebburn marina, shields pier or roker pier, any suggestion.

Why am I asking?

Only lived in the area 4 months and still not upto speed with what fishes best and at what times etc etc oh and on what seas....

Fished international paints in pelaw last night only tiny stuff, same as what I believe to be codgers corner (next to spirit of ss) on wed evening.

never fished there mate - must be a stone throw from where i live in wardley

If u know the maiden over pub, straight down the bank just keep going down hill, don't follow the road round the houses just head for the river.

Either keep to the river, or fish into the harbour at the end s/s pier. Imo.

Well ROSSYSMALLCAST if you dont know the areas always get in with friend who fishes you say you have only been here for around 4 months and dont know the areas that well. If you can cast about a 100 yds or so i would try ROKER---PIER just on the bend ive always done well there.It is a bit rocky there but if you can cast that far you will be alright. personally i wouldnt waste ya time fishing the marina mate, its dead apart from the very odd sized flounder and undersize whiting and codling, best idea would be either roker pier, rat house, glass centre or the high drop off, some peolpe call this the high ledge

Decided on wise old advice, North end of seaham beach hit the hole just after the rock outcrop. Whiting land............
