Tapered Shockleaders

hi all just wondering what are the lengths of these tapered leaders i like a long leader on my reel for the drop and to play fish ,the normal leaders can leave a bulky knot sometimes and will pick up rubbish or weed easier causing the knot not going threw the top eye

so taking into account the lentgh of ya rod and a few turns on ya reel ya left with about 9 metres

all right mate im using dawia shock at the mo its 13mtrs long in total 9mtrs at 60lb then last 4mtrs tapers down to 16lb you get a good small knot on them my rod has small top eye and i have no probs hope this helps

Tapered shockers are a waste of time in my opinion.

Weed gathers just as much on the knot as a normal shock leader and when your snagged the weak link is the knot which parts to easy for my liking, bimini twist is the only way to go.

Having said that I use 40lb Ammo tapered leaders when I'm fishing really light on a clean beach with no weed.

Good thinkin Duncan it would make some canny weights to keep his brolley from blowing away
