Target - 23/12/08

Target 22/12/08 (not 23rd as in title)

Me, Phil and Carl fished Target last night from 16:30 to 21:30, low tide and not a great sea on. We were using Lug tipped with either Rag, Mussel, Squid or Limpit

First cast for me and I managed to get the birds nest from hell on me mag, switched to me slosh 30 and within seconds of the weight hitting the water got some stonking knocks, and this for me troubles

1lb 5oz Sea bass

Obviously well chuffed then Phil turned out this

3lb Cod

Well after that if we caught nowt else we would have been happy enough,

Carl had a coalie and a rockling and a snap off previous, then this happened..

1 fish on his line....and his lost rig with another 2 fish on it! lol

Was a very interesting night with a couple of canny fish

i was well chuffed with my 3 fish, 1 rig with my old snagged rig lol.... cracking night like.... butwhen isn't a night or fishing lol, nice bass and cod lads.. enjoy..........5-1-1 target at shields mate

hya mate, me also from jarrow just getting back into it after yrs off, looking to get out sat 11am onwards, easterly wind, any marks you know will fish then, would like to try the beacons in daylight, help appreciated

'Target Rock' is along shields, other side of Graham Sands from Trow Rocks.
not to be confused with 'The Target' in Ryhope

Tricky one, mid tide, not much movment forcast and daylight, i'd be heading for the kelp or deep water mate, the pier would be my first choice looking at the conditions.

nah mate the tide was to far out so we were fishing off the bottom, will give it ago next week from the top
