Can anyone recommend a tattoo artist skilled in traditional japanese designs. don\'t mind travelling.

aye he is a good\'un at that stuff.
my cousin has all hers done from him......all that hena and symbols etc . .

sless am i missing something?
do you have a tatoo or summit? ;)

Im covered in tatts from head to foot, lots of home done jobbies but mainly prof ones, with me working all over the country i have had them done by a lot of different tattoo artist and the best i have come across is a guy called Dr Graham (grangetown, cardiff) loads of jap/chinesse art.
The last one i got about 6 months ago was a galleon and two carp on the bottom of my back (only bit of space left nearly), these were done at a small studio in Whitby by Shane Somers, he has a lot of jap art and he was one of the better artists i have use.
Its like everything else, you pay for what u get, and if its to be there for life, its go to be good.

Since this topic has cropped up and I\'m looking to get a new tat done.. anyone know what the places at Bedlington (dunno the name) and Ashington (Dragons lair?) are like?

Last place I went to was Graham\'s on the roundabout between Benton/Chillingham road, but that\'s changed name now (I heard he\'d died?) and have no idea what the new people are like...

The Lad that had the one the coast road round about was called Neils and he died about 5 years ago. But his wife Mandy now owns and runs the shop.

I would also give Northside at Whitley Bay a look.....cracking studio and a great bunch of people that work there

Neil! That was it, dunno why I had Graham in mind... Sad to hear he died though, he was a good crack on and he did a great job on my wife\'s tattoo. If Mandy is still there then I might head over that way, I\'ve a wolf on my shoulder that she did and it\'s a nice job..

Ronnie cole at Bedlington is a good artist. I have had a couple done there and am happy with the results.Cracking bloke too great laugh.

have mine done by chris wright from viking tattoo in jarrow really good got plenty of awards, not sure about the chinese stuff youd have to phone him

Thanks leadhead, I\'ll call in at Ronnie\'s at the weekend then for a look around... I\'ve been into a few places and instantly not felt at all comfortable to be there, Neil\'s was the only place where I felt it was fine to wander for a mooch around at the artwork wether I wanted anything done there and then or not...

Ell mate. Takes Marks advice and settle for Billy Stampers. They are a lot cheaper and dont hurt as much !!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers.
george.

Ell,

there is a place in high bridge street newcastle i got my last one from there the lad who did it is called john

you getting a picture of a cod done lol

john

Fancy one of those japanese arm pieces, grimacing gods, lotus blossom all that tackle.

Or perhaps I\'ll do what a plumber working on my mates house did. Get one of those terrible studio photo portraits of his missus, tattooed badly over the whole of his back without telling her. Proudly displayed to my mate, still throbbing. (\"T\'wer a beaut\")

Maybe this has been done a million times but It tickled me. Stevo from Jackass has \"your name\" tattoed on his arse.
