Alright lads, in los cristianos on me honeymoon and just booked up for 4hrs on a boat on Tuesday. Apparently the boat has caught more marlin than any other boat on the island this year! I don't believe the hype but we shall see eh? Haha. I'd be happy with a decent sized tuna! Still looking forward to a mornings fishing rather than sitting round the pool drinking even more vodka! Ill report back next week on me results!

I hope it's the dotsy two mate , it's a beautiful boat , if its still there , good luck I'm off to Lanzerote on Sunday and hope to catch a stingray off the beach and have a boat trip on sport fisher , tight lines

Hope it's not true but i go to Tenerife twice a year and have been told by the locals I have become friends with to stay away from the boats as they promise fish but never catch any, good luck anyway.

Tenerife

Tenerife

Fished there twice, first time was a joke salty potatoes stinky fish cheap wine.sat all day supposed to be shark fishin. No balloons just a bait dangling.next time bonito 7 lb trolling

Gan to Tenerife every year m8 but this year tried lanzerote nice place but prefer Tenerife anyway m8 have heard that the charter boats in the harbour next to where they sell the fish arnt that god but if yopu fancy chucking a line from the shore try the main harbour wall next to the ferry landings seaward side realy deep water there .There is a tackle shop not far from the harbour can't remember the name but if u ask the locals they will tell u where it " have seen some nisce fish pulled in off there canny size to it las Americas we stay like and love it anyway m8 good luck with the fishing and enjoy the rest of your hols:)

yeah you can also buy tackle where the commercial boats tie up, there's a door next to the building where they weigh and land there catch, it opens up to a shop, line, hooks, lures, swivels, ect, it's also a bit of a chandlers for boats lifted out around the back, some of the boats pack them on and it's a case of taking turns with the rods on most of them, not my idea of a boat fishing trip at all i'm affraid, anyway it would have been a busmans holiday for me so allways declined the invite.

Alright lads.
So I got out on the boat "No Limits" for 4 hrs on tues 9am till 1pm. Trolling 8 rods of different sizes with reels and rigs to match. Decent boat, decent gear, some sound lads from UK, Holland and Germany, as much beer as I could put away in lovely hot weather. Not a bite between us!! Skipper tried different distances from shore with depths of up to 1800ft, tried changing the rigs to diving lures and not just surface lures but with no results. Did however see a pod of pilot whales. Would defo try again when I go back out there next year, maybe a diff boat but not because it was a bad boat, just to try a diff skipper.
