Guys,

Tried fishing the "Baskets". Off the front of Steetley for an hour tonight. Really just to wet my new stuff.

Not even a sniff. Sea state like a road surface, not a breath of wind.

Home and a cuppa before bed. ah, well never mind.

Flat as a mirror at lynemouth too, also no fish! when yesterday it was apparently a fish a cast....cod too!
just goes to show the saying about fishing just after a big sea is true!

cant belive we did not have a decent fish steak n kidney after 10 hrs ov fishing can sum one help please wat are we doing wrong using rag squid mussell n razor do we need CRAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE FISHED THE RAMP THIS MORNING THEN LYNEBURN 2NITE 2 COLEYS AND 2 FLATTIES BETWEEN US HELP PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If ya have the baits ya listed AND crab, and ya still not getting bites or anything then ya can just about say there's no fish where you are!

Baits I used where, Rag, Octopus and FRESH Crab.
Crab was cleaned out by Shrimps every 10 minutes. Octopus not touched, ofcourse.
Being truthful, I wasn't expecting to catch owt, just couldn't wait to try out the new set up. Those 525 mags cast a treat. got a few over runs but nowt worrying.
Guess my 7000 is redundant

Yeah felt a bit ........Discouraged! shall we say driving home, but thats fishing. Its not winter yet andat the very least we did not blank!

Could be worse could be one of those mad catfish loonies who sit up all night knowing that they will probably get nowt!

might just stick to the ramp for now, dont go daft spending on bait!might get a bass or two and fish elsewher on a good sea! and tide!

We'll get there mate, just need patience and the first few frosts.

i find rag and squid as a cocktail or rag and lug r the best i use a clip down penell rig . im off over there tonight so lets see what lynemouth brings
