With a forecast to good to miss it was a silly o clock start this morning and out of the piers before five. Unfortunatly we were met with mist and a snotty chop from the south east!
That scuppered our plans for a trip over the horizon and no ground fishing today but the inshore wrecks were still in bounds.
First wreck and straight into fish:

All a much better stamp of fish today which was great.

Micky had the biggest today with this one just over 8 1/2 lb:

I thought I had him beat as my rod whacked over but it was a double header with these two the culprits! Mustn't grumble!

The fish box was very healthy today with some great quality fish kept and a good few returned to catch once they are doublers!

By far the best day wrecking this season, double hook ups were regular this morning and the fish did slacken off over slack water but came back on as the tide started to flow again! I have got a stay of execution so no graft until next week, champion!
Micky also christened the boat with his first stunt poo on the bow! There was a blast zone around us and not even the seagulls came close for over an hour!:D
This was last nights tea with Sundays cod:

It tasted champion!

Graham.

Great post Graham, you probably saved a lot of steaming time to distance wrecks, and might not have been as productive. Some canny fish there. I was wondering what that smell was on the easterly breeze this morning early on:D:D
Great to read, well done lads.

It's a new job with a new Company Bert, Nigeria wasn't for me!
Three weeks on followed by six weeks off! Semi retirement at 36!:D:D:D I will be back late July and off all of August as well! Even more fishing!

Graham

Great report and nice to see a few fish on the wrecks of better stamp, unless it changes mid-week trip was the way forward as the weekend is looking iffy.

Hope you get back to get many more trips at sea before that long winter.
