just heard from mate on oil rig in the north sea he saying there are 50 foot waves and wind speed measured at 100 mph?

Met Office warnings issued for strong winds. All in all I don't think the lad was too far away from getting it right. Just the position and the depth of the low pressure was out a bit. Not bad for a month ahead!

Dont think the lad was too far away,trees down up in stanley,very big trees,had the wind been from the north,it would have been some of the biggest seas we have seen for a long time
