went on the heugh h/pool at 11.30 three hrs before H.T , there was five lads on the end spinning and boy it was hot the sun was belting down, water clarity was gin clear so I thought to myself in another hour or so the macky might start to come on, when I got to the end they where there in massive numbers macky everywhere, the lads told me they had been catching them nonstop since LW so put my abu spinner on and first cast bang fish on and that's how it went every cast a fish and it didn't let up fish after fish by H.T the pier was packed and every one was hauling fish in nice to see the young kids with their dads catching them, there was a lot of young lads on but nobody was making an arse of themselves and no ****heads, final tally 63 mackerel kept 15. one downer though just on HT I jumped down from the top level to the bottom level and dislocated my toe [that's the reason I left at HT or I would still be there] anyway went to the one life centre on the doc said there was only one thing to do she had to pull it back in, 3 f###ing attempts later she clicked it back in ow.

i was on at first light and the whole bay was alive with fish on the surface. ive never seen it like that for over 20 years.

it fished from first light right through both tides, high and low.

i spoke to people who caught around 300 fish [ not that they kept that many]

sunday was a lot quieter.
