I had a last minute dash to the tackle shop yesterday and got some nice lug and frozen squid.......lug has gone up in price...
Up at 6.00 and down the marina and on the boat for 6.35....its great being 10 mins from the boat :)

Out and fishing at anchor for 7.00, had 2 rods out 1 uptiding and 1 downtiding, and they never stopped rattling :)..........whiting fest...

Sea was spot on...:)

I managed to get a couple of codling out but only to 2.5lb and kept one nice whitey, lost count of the whities that i put back, but great fun to have 2 rods bouncing away and not nowing which one to grab...:)

2 enjoyable hours fishing, nothing for the H/F thread but always next time....:D;)

Great to see a few getting out again......... Was really tempted myself this weekend!! Had to do the honourable thing tho, the annual pilgrimage to Brid next weekend!! It's the only beach match I still fish and as its Mother's day weekend as well thought I better keep the brownie points stored!!

Bet you enjoyed being out there again Chris? Sometimes sat at anchor just watching your rods is all that you need. Good to hear you had a busy couple of hours, nice little coddie for the pan and plenty of sport to keep you busy and a lovely flat sea....... sounds good to me mate!

Well Done Chris, great to see the seasons started for you, fish and chips for tea? :)
couple of weeks for us I think with next weekend being the make ready time .......

Wash and brush up time tone :) :)

This time of year its just a case of picking the nicest days, getting out there and chilling out and hope for a few fish. :) Like you say Norm, a couple of weeks and it might be worth the odd wrecking trip but for the moment with the water being murky i think its better to bait fish at anchor...:)

Davey...Allans crown is safe, i hope he catches all the whities out there, they snaffled £8's worth of lug in 2 hours today......but worth it...:D.....did he get the throttle lever sorted

Welldone Chris ,looked like weather was nice.Managed to locate a remote at Hexham, picking it up tuesday,so will be sorted by weekend
