Had a trip out with Kingcod Deano today. Tried a couple of wrecks, drift was good despite the wind gusting at times, Deano dropped one off which seemed decent and had a couple of takes, but no fish landed, so after a couple of hours we headed in to do a bit of bait fishing :).

Got anchored up half a mile off the pier, one rod uptide and 2 rods downtide, fresh crab, lug, mussel and rag.....Had bites from the off and landed loads of scotchies and small tommies but sadly no keepers....

A good day to be afloat, sunburnt face and good crack with Deano who is now known as Kingbleg Deano...:D:D

hard lines chris/dave still great day to be afloat, and some signs of life, albeit not the desired specis:exclam:

if you dont go you will never know:)

seems we fared a bit better than you chris,,hard work though,,we had 2 keepers,, plenty of small stuff as well,,great day for it though.

Haha king blegg lol cheers for the invite mate proper enjoyed the crack and day even though fishin was slow but it just goes to show you can still enjoy it without the fish cheers again mate

I was in bonny Scotland this weekend (weather was cold and windy but still nice to be away)

Was still following reports with interest :)

Nice one lads on getting out!!!

I think there is a big "Detour" sign on the seabed at Hartlepool Ray...:D

Still good to see fish coming in from anywhere though....:)

Hang in there Chris, little ones and scotchies this week, better fish next week. From today’s reports they’re showing up now and must be around your way soon.

:D sounds about right Chris :D

We were out Monday, put a fair few miles in for few fish:(

Was a cracking day to be out tho, not be long and it'll be COD AHOY time :D

Sounds familiar, Sunday was the same for me, we only picked a few fish up at the end of the day. Not to worry another week or so should see things picking up :):):)
Good luck for the next adventure :)
