The North arm

Fished that Hendon open this afternoon, and the "north arm" never let me down again.
I got these 3 cod for just over 9 lb to take the heaviest bag worth £300
I also had the second heaviest fish 3lb 15oz for £50
and the heaviest pairs for £64
If my biggest fish had weighed 3 oz more I would of won the lot. Nevermind that's fishing for you.

Once agaian well done Tony.

Wondered why you were telling anglers on Friday night that Martin caught his fish at Boaty's, you little tinker!

"If my biggest fish had weighed 3 oz more I would of won the lot. Nevermind that's fishing for you."
and if my Aunty was a bloke she would be my Uncle.

Hello Tony,
Well done mate. Last year I started to fish the marks along that stretch, from Camels northwards. I had some canny little sessions, mainly at the black path and the rocks just north of it. My favourite was "fraggle rock" that you showed me years ago don't know if you remember. I've tried the North arm but I'm a bit cackyarsed when it comes to getting across the narrow bit where the stumpy posts are!! Might see you down there sometime.
Regards Ian

Hello Ian, if you ever fancy a Friday night sesh, you're more than welcome.
Remember when I got my first ever cod, a 3 pounder down at "Cowbar";)

Terry, the ironic thing about it is? I remember weighing a fish in at 3lb 15oz in the Shields open. And getting pipped by 3 oz.

and i also remember telling you to stuff that whiting that your cod puked up ,back down its gullet - it was in its belly when you landed it ,so should have been there when you weighed in - and as it was about 7 inches ,must have been more than 3oz - but there is always "ifs and buts"

the north arm comes to the fore again ,two weeks before the Big One

well done on winning

Ha!
Yes mate I remember, it was from cowbar skeer, we'd fished further along at the "boiler hole" but caught our fish at the skeer near the breakwater.
Believe it or not I reckon that was about 20 year ago!
I'll have to come down for a session soon.
Regards, Ian.

Looks like the north arm will be packed at the shields open this year,I hope you,ve got a tent tony, youll have to camp out overnight to get on your mark this year.
Theres a tip for anyone fishing this mark, wear realtree camo so the fish think you,re a tree it works for tony.
