same thing happened at torness in the last couple of years when they emptied a pool during maintenance,it was only one fish,think it was 38lb
 
hmm thay seem to be trying to make that these cod are a freak of nature just coz there 25lb as an angler you always here of the odd big one caught.well last year if you can remebr a gill netter reported a few 20lb plus fish out of his nets just of newbiggin clifffs and a few of these has traces in there mouths from anglers.Great story though.P.S i thought there was loads of big cod up scottland ????? :D
 
Iv watched a program on tv tonight which showed this plant thay were saying that the radiation is alot ferther spread than that thought.Im not taking a fishing trip up there i might get some 2 headed cod :D
 
Used to live about 1/2 mile from Dounreay, some very good fishing close to the power station, lots of locals talk of lobsters and crabs with 3 claws.

Oh and very close, beach X is a few miles away from there and very good for Bass ;)

I have a photo of me rock fishing and you can just make out Dounreay in the background (I\'ll post it when I get home at w*rk at the moment).

my brother used to work at the station that was on the isle of grain ----he used to say about the large cod that used to get thrown in the skips when it was cleaned out---no-one was allowed to take them
