Hii the slab is at the start of sheilds pier between the hut and gate. Type the place you like in the search bar and loads of info will come up on about any place in the N.E
The slab is actually the first set of old steps that go down the side of the pier just beyond the brigade hut. When you get there you see two big 'slabs'/ledges either side of the steps. Also, on a low tide there's a big 'slab' of rock going out into the water, an old ramp, etc.
The whole area isn't called the slab, the slab is just one of the many marks at the bottom of the pier, including the 13 mark, 14 mark, hole in the wall, first gate, brigade hut, and so on.
Hope this info clears things up and helps you stevieanderson1.
I didnt even know of the mark 13,14 lol. I have always went off medlars guide and thought the slab was between the hut and gate with the hole in the wall.

i fished 'the slab' last night, had a cracking 4hour session especially how most people were coming down the pier saying it was ass.... 3 codling between 2 and 2.5lb and 10 whiting all sized but only a couple of deep hooked kept.
fish can be real close in too their, i like it after a good north or easterly blow with a big roll on.
