The Walkway, 28th (VERY am)

Well managed to hit the walkway about 1:30am this morning with the aim to fish a couple of hours up and maybe one down with "Where's the fish" NESA member.... he fell asleep and I went alone ;)

Nobody there, beautiful still night with clear skys and no wind, looked like a mill pond but the tide pull was a bit insane despite the 6oz grip leads!

Fished Rag, Mackerel and a cocktail of both. Picked out a 30cm Whiting first cast but it was REALLY skinny so went back to fight another day. Second cast had a small Codling, again not enough for a decent meal so swam off. Lost another Codling on the lift which seemed a better stamp and then continued with more Whiting for the rest of the trip. Had a small Dab and a Flounder also to mix things up. Most fish taken on Maccy strip apart from the flounder.

Left about 4am content that I had at least had a canny little session!

:D:D:D

better than a blank. What would b the best way to get to the walkway ill b coming from peterlee on the a19. Any help will b good.

Well done. We were out at Craster today and it was a very big tide so there must have been some pull in the river.
