all right lads weres the best place to park to fish the walkway and what sort of distance is best to cast and is it snaggy any help would be most wellcome

alreet mate i park in the housing estate mate but alot of cars have been gettin damagedu better of parking in the little haven carpark and the top end is a good shot at walk way mate with a good cast and the right bait u should do ok

I usually park down the side street near the sailing club. Some members have said that their cars have been scraped by a vindictive resident so you will have to consider this. I have parked there dozens of times with no problems though.
There is also the hotel car park a couple of hundred yards around the sailing club. I don't know if there are any parking restrictions there but again I have had no problems.
As for the fishing, if you can hit somewhere near the middle of the river you are usually free of snags but a strong tide will pull you round and the chance of snags is there, as we experienced on Friday night. Shorter casts you take your chances.

cheers lads for quick reply i was thinking of fishing it from bout 1pm today till high water ive got some frozen crab and blacks to use as bait am hoping crab will do the trick

Fished it couple weeks ago, parked in hotel carpark no probs, fished straight in front of path you walk down, lost canny bit of gear due to snags.
