i know its got nowt to do with fishing boys but we should all feel very proud tonight cos one of our own became a star tonight . well done to joe mcelldrey very proud of you mate......!
 
I've been driving round all day with vote joe wrote in the dirt on the back of my car :-D well done to him good to see a local lad win it.
 
Must admit i am fed up with hearing the term HERO being attached to his name in the papers and on the news.
He ain't,he sings.

Got to agree with Lowrider and Northeast1. X factor== bunch of wannabe medeocre kareoke singers performing for abunch of tone deaf numpy,s and a gulible public who actually PAY to vote.
These people need to get out more.
Lot of our lads are out there fighting a war which does not concern this country and giving their lives and what is the headlines in the papers this morning. Some Kareoke singer has won a contest and doesnt have time for sex for the next year.

the kid will no doubt make a few quid, but not a fraction of what cowell will make by exploiting him and all the gullible saps who buy into cowell's kingdom

its a talent show where itv PAY HIM to find HIS nest earner, and then he gets to keep all the dosh

got to admire his business acumen for putting that deal together but he is the worst kind of parasite
 
Yeah, you are right there Mark. Just wonder if we could get the next X factor round of auditions staged in Helmend Province how many of them would be that eager to take part, and that would include the judges.
 
next year the x-factor finals are going to steal 5 months of telly time!

LOL I think site members want to come clean hear theirs obviously some animosity , we where wondering who was voting Jedwood the two Irish lads they didn`t win get over it LOL

Jeezz just cos a couple of members have commented on that they are pleased that a fellow north east kid with a bit luck might do well for him self lets tear a strip off them and the millions that watched the program with a bit of interest.

It might suprise some that some people think we are all sad and slightly unhinged for standing out all night in the lashing rain and wind in the hope of catching a fish you can buy down your local supermarket for alot less than we all spend on the sport

it seems your fair game for a public attack just for saying well done to the kid, I wouldn`t mind if it was a debate but it seems a little personal
 
its supposed to be a freindly forum, instead you get slated and told to get a life for adding your thoughts and veiws.
 
mind you, I do quite like the Facebook 'killing in the name of" campaign to get that catchy little tune by rage against the machine to outsell x-factor tunes for the chrimbo no 1
