sailed from amble today in a lively swell after what seemed an age reached the chosen mark mackeral mackeral mackeral next mark guess what:question:mackeral onward undeterred to next mark and guess what:question: we got 6 numbers in the cod and ling lottery,nowt in double figures but fish a plenty then disaster struck,in the form of one poor soul taking violently ill with s/s this guy was ill,and skipper was left with no choice but to cut the trip short and return to port so rich,norman and any other boat lads theres still time to put in 1 hell of a report yet if the weather lets us i love these smilies

Shame about the poor soul with sea sickness .... but it did look a bit "unlevel" out there.

Did a "busmans holiday" yesterday, what with nothing on the cards the wife and I had a run out in the afternoon for a bit of fresh air ...... haha went to amble

hope fully it might be an extended season canny few other ports getting fish still,skinner on the tyne,famous out of hartlepool,all my sons out of staithes had some good(double figure)fish last thursday and im pretty sure some whitby boats will be catching also, havent heard owt about up norf seahouses and berwick

about 5 miles from shore, rich on a wreck.we saw gulls diving about 3 miles from shore on our way back in with sick boy,so think they might have been there also
