Ron, blame the recession, you know the one the government has talked us into, that is what they are saying is causing an increase in thievery, so there is an excuse for people taking toher peoples property, you can't say they are thieving bXXXXrds.
Remember years ago somebody had a go at my 10hp auxillary in daylight, in the drive, they must of hidden under my boat cover. Fortunately I had a stainless steel pin running through the holes in the loosening bars on the engine, bent over at both ends, so they couldn't get it off. There wasn't s recession then so they must have been genuine thieving bxxxards.

er no. there theiving *******s all the same!!!! recession is no excuse at all

the govt blaming the recession on an increase in thievery is nothing to do with the recession IMHO

just an increase in low lifes caused by the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer and a decrease in the resources the boys in blue get to nail the feckers

hoping that they use the outboard, and it fails on them while at sea is a double edged sword as inevitably they'll then be straight on the phone to the emergency services asking for help

I'll keep my eyes open on ebay, but I suspect it'll be nicked to order to go on the back of a boat already.

you got any of your own security markings on it?? got copies of serial numbers?

might be worth a trip around the boat yards and marinas, but like as not it'll be on a trailered boat somewhere out of sight

You guys would be amazed at some of the thefts i go to. if you were asleep they would pinch your boots.

Mick.

i used to have a boat in blyth marina and most of the thefts where committed by other members, you would think theyd have more sense than stick stolen bits on their boats:eek:

Thanks Mark appreciate it mate.

It was a Evinrude 4 stroke 5hp long shaft
It had black casing which was quite marked and scratched due my poor boat manouvering..
And it was stole from my addresse in Horden early this morning 30/01/09
The chances of me seeing it again is i no remote but got to try i suppose. Phoned the police and reported it as well...
