Just realised that since NUFC and SAFC have "BOTH" been doing well this season, and no one can say any different, there's been a certain amount of calmness and , dare I say it , respect for each others teams.
Great stuff folks .......

I find that on here, at work and in various other areas where mags and macms confront, theres been lots of "well done lads, enjoyed watching" passed over the fence.
We seem now to have more enemies outside the area to concentrate on ......... haha Liverpool beaten by us both ..........

long may it continue .... and of course long may NUFC be higher up the premiership than SAFC

well put norm, i think the majority do have some respect 4 each other, and yes at work/in the local the banter between the people we know is like water of a cods back. ! . but a feel that most on here don`t really know who there winding up, in most cases, so maybe it goes that bit further, thats my way of thinking anyway. newcastle still top north east team.

Well Norman i am a geordie through and through but live in SUNERLAND for some years now but i still have the respect for both teams as to me they are both NORTHEAST clubs but at least they are still well up in the league and good luck to them both okay.

more times than you could imagine mate, i was a keeper in the saturday & sunday morning leagues. not always the best quality, bit like the mackems really..

nah, easy jet...

football wise through the back door? yes when the back door is finishing in the top 4 of the premier league 3rd & 2nd twice.1994>1997 ish . 4th, 3rd & 5th 2000-2003 ish, or did you mean the fairs cup win 69, intertoto win 2006 / 2007 ish

or fingers crossed by possibly finishing 5 th in the 2011/2012 season to qualify for the uefa europa league 2012-2013.................

decent back door standard that by any teams standards.......
