i haven't caught anything for a while so im going to try and change that this thurs, a couple of weeks go i fished the night high tide just before the north peir and blanked again so was going to try the tyne this thurs just outside the copthorne. I realise that there probably wont be any big fish there but just dont want to blank, i would hope id have a decent chance of some whiting at night.

am i on the right lines or would anyone advise me to try elsewhere. im not the longest caster in the world and while i dont mind loosing the odd trace i dont really like fishing anywhere to snaggy. I dont have the worlds best lamp so somewhere with a bit of light would be best.

ill post the catch report if i dont blank

cheers

Try further down the river opposite International Paints at Walker. We had a competition there last Saturday and landed over 300 fish between 22 of us with Whiting up to 43cm. My matre fished there again yesterday and had over 20 fish with the longest 42cm.

Good luck!
