With watching the weather constantly I see there's a small gap in the weather from late Wednesday night and Thursday, may still b bit of a swell but what's your thoughts? Need 48hrs notice to put a holiday in and itching to get out, it's looking like the winds to pick up again Friday which will spoil this weekend!! Anybody else planning a trip out?

Cheers lads could I ask you which site you use for forecast? Ive been putting together weather from met office and big salty and trying to come up with an overall, is there any better more reliable ones? I know big salty are saying Theresa gona b less swell on Saturday but met are saying a strong southerly wind

I.ve looked at it for Saturday, but wouldnt make a decision till Friday, i just use it as a rough guide . I think they are all pretty much the same and keep changing as the week goes on :)

March is by quite a margin the worst month for fishing. even if the conditions are OK.

I leave February and March completely ou and start back after Easter.

I think the cod are mating and spawning in these months and we should do the same ;-)

Last March was an exception, calm and sunny, no rain at all. The fishing was ok too, I had a 13lb-4oz pollock and some decent codling to 6lb. I'm just waiting for a break in the weather myself, but at the moment, the visibility in the sea is zero so not great for fishing.
