Why has cookie 1992 thread closed for selling weights when primo man was selling spinners and dusty bin sells leads another one rule for one and not the other

Same as always my mate mark got branded a dealer when he isnt and there are alot more who do just sell stuff for profit main one dusty bin and cookie is selling weights like him ow he has asked him to stop now he has to stop dusty bin and everyone else or allow them all

I also have a thread selling weights, so I can't comment.
I think the main annoyance was Cookie was bumping his thread at least once a day. I think we should have a rule that a thread can't be bumped until it's gone from the first page.
Also, making statements like "weights are a fixed price if you want them cheaper make them your self or go to a tackle shop and pay stupid money" probably doesn't help.

i says that as people are messaging me asking them for cheaper if it was becasue of that comment why not just delete the comment instead of closeing the thread i.sell alot of weights out side this site and get alot of.people to join so if thats the way he wants to play then so be it i only sell 10% of the weights i sell through the site anyway more of his loss then mine

it is eltons site after all, i have bought leads of a few ppl of this forum and yes saved myself some pennies in the process. i think i may understand why the owner may see him as a trader unlike others who also sell sinkers. as keithb said if he needs to address it he will. its his site. we pay nothing towards being a member of this site. also i cant find the statement saying one need to purchse sinkers from another .

Thanks for pointing the others out to me. I'll take a look later today. The one in question was brought to my attention because of the regular 'bumps'. I don't monitor the forum on an ongoing basis.
That forum was meant to be for private sales only. It does state that, quite clearly, in the intro. I'll have a word with the moderators and my solicitor to see what's best to do. If traders are using it, it's possible that we could let it continue, but make sure the Inland Revenue know. I don't know yet.
