The TIGA's light is very powerfull and lights up anything you may need it to. The battery is a bit on the heavy side but this balances out with its effectiveness and it lasts a full session.

no it tells you to put back on charge straight after use ive always done this and mine,s been fine for two winters

on my charger it has a l.e.d red low/green full my mate got his a year before me and he has not so i think they will all have now

have the new ones not got a longer lasting battery ,and also a much lighter one - around the 1lb in weight instead of 6.5lb

could be wrong ,but i am sure i have seen a bloke on the wherry last year had this type

The ones with the Ni-Mh batteries are lighter but cost twice as much.

i have some gear to sell that i will never use ,so hoping to put a hole in the initial price with the selling of it - dont know if ebay or part exchange would be better though

hi not sure if we going off original topic here but what the hell,top off the range tiga do they sell for 130quid spotty dog tackle sl12 is that latest one or the one with lighter battery and more power is that one diff model to sl12v and what is cost of that one

hi on the subject off lights the other week i got an led from aldi 3quid works great had to put two small batteries in but thats it may be alright for backup very small
should of put this up earlier but been preoccupied

cannot find the nimh battery and charger on that site and how would you connect it .plus does it effect the performance ?

You'd have to buy 5 cells (5 x 1.2V = 6V) and tag them together, the Tiga looks like it comes with a 7-8ah pack, the equiavlent cells on that site would cost about £40. The chargers are very expensive, might be some chaper options on ebay.
