tips and tatics on collecting peeler

Hi ppl have been telling me to go picking peeler but a dnt no how to go on as i have just started sea fishing just wondering if ppl could give me a few pointers on how to collevt peeler any info would be greatful and a really big thank you to thoses who reply

Just go down the river or sea were there are plenty of rocks and weed.
Check through the weed and lift rocks.
If you find a crab give it a little squeeze and if it is soft like jelly it is a crab that has just shed it's shell (this is a softy).
If the crab is hard pull off the end piece of its leg and if there is a soft leg underneath then you have found yourself a peeler.
If you find a crab with another crab underneath this is called a carrier and take the underneath crab as this will be a peeler or a softie.
As you get more experienced you will be able to spot peeler crab by the colour of the crab.

softties have 2be used in a couple days as they start 2 turn hard, peeler are the best as you can keep them for weeks in the fridge b4 using them

Always remember to put any overturned rocks back the way you found them, otherwise it screws the enviroment for the sealife

my best advice is buy them off some body as i went to whitburn with codfather 145 on sunday got 2 beauties and a bad back it was worth it just for the crack with codfather but its knackering m8 good luck m8

Got to agree with toon boy. I have had no luck collecting them either. And i,ve looked under a few rocks.
