well chaps today me me pops my son arran along with dave ray and daves son r were lucky enough to get out on the rolling seas down the pool it wasnt the flattest ive seen it but hey who cares a little bit swell isnt bad so we met the man barney and set off at 8 starting off on the hard ground and bang straight into the fish nice lovelly clean codling and then me lil man gets his first a nice coalie (weighed later when gutted 3lb ) not a bad start and have to say it never stopped fish all day it was the daylights and prawn show again then me pops got his first nice codling on the 5lb mark followed by another 6lb and another 5lb not bad after the rock the last time then it was the turn of dave s son with yet another lovely clean codling all in all it never stopped dave taking a vey nice 4.5lb codling and ray in the action with coalies and codling there was one small pouting brought in but returned sorry mr charlton and a few small codling put back to fight again then we hit a small wreck which was producing, ANOTHER masterstroke by barney (he does it all the time )and bang a nice 7lb came up for me and a few more a little smaller all in all another fab day on the gannett cant speak highly enough of barney mint skipper got home and got a bit of a shock with the weight i had 10 codling weighing just over 45 pound not bad at all me son had 4 fish for 10 lb happy days

bit of both mate the weather was a little on the cold side with the breeze and yup they are out there

Many thanks for the report Lee and hope to see you back soon. yes it was a bit lumpy but worth it in the end. Just on my way back down the boat to do it all again mate, "I know", you feel sorry for me lol

Well done lads looks like a canny swell on the sea there but there again looks like you were all lapping it up and at least you were catching fish and your pics are showing us you were all enjoying it so well done again and good luck to you all

Thats right it was a bit lumpy, and me and Davey were the only ones groundbaiting, but all in all a very good trip out and we all got fish, will be back out on Gannet in the near future, and just got to mention that the boat held the swells but me and Davey could'nt, all in all a cracking day out and with very good company

Well set off at 8am and got back in at 10am the green man strikes again lol
14 year old, not a nice experience poor chap. Met office forcast for this morning: smooth or slight turning moderate later! Wish I could have got them on my bow at 8am lol

alreet m8, aye, good day, not the best to see me son`s sea legs , but did you notice wen me and ray (pricey) were dropping ground bait, ryan was eating me sandwiches, no fear, guts of steel.
nice to see barny on the site, thanks for your help m8, looking forward to the next trip.

by the way lads, the only other vessel out was a lifeboat. ! .

yeah mate have to say the boys did well for their first trip out i know if that was my first one i would have been praying to the gods but hey fish makes it all better mate and christ that lifeboat was moving lol

aye it is arthur think it was wind tho mate he had 5 codling couple of 5lb ers and a 6 lber so no bad at all bud
