well guys my poor form has brought me to a hard choice do i pack in for the season or keep trying???the last 3 mornings ive fished several marks round hartlepool over low water straight after my night shifts with very poor results infact il be lucky if the 2 fish i had weighed 1lb in total anything that could of went wrong did fished some really good conditions too in all the crappy weather just starting to lose a little faith might just hang the rods up til next season

i wouldnt give in i would just start fishing at high water and try another venue some places always fish better than others you have just got to find them next time you go fishing just travel light so you can have a chuck here and there and ya never know you might find a nice coddy hole full of fish

thats just the story of my season really bad finding it hard to get back into the fish even my favourite mark im finding really hard at the moment just seems a complete waste of time tried the high water and low water marks all thru the season only took 2 fish home and they where about the 2lb mark id travel up north but dont know any marks only place i know is rathouse and ive struggled there too

alreet dizz i think we all feel a bit like throwing the towel in from time to time but forget them blues, you may land a good un when you least expect it keep the fishing faith cheers korky.

i know what you mean its just hard to try and pick ya self back up after such a poor run of luck and to be honest i aint had much at all might go out monday that might just decide it for me

Keep at it mate - I was thinking the same last week when it was -3 and I didn't even get a bite all night...sat there praying for the Spring to hurry up and the Boat season to start...but I will be out again because I'm stupid and actually enjoy this fishing lark even without the fish part ;)

might try again monday or tuesday night i enjoy it too even if i dont catch its just getting to the stage where its the same marks over and over again with the same poor results hartlepool being my local area i dont tend to venture out of the area but i am starting to consider it just dont know where to

any marks you would reccomend visiting like i say i really dont know any marks outside horden beech lol only place i do kinda know is rathouse

Ive been back fishing for about 6 months now!It started ok a few small codling but it kept me interested then the last 6 outings including all the local comps i blanked on everyone of them,my mates were catching fish but not me!!
Another mate took me to a beach last Monday night and i pulled out a 2-2.5lber.That got me back right in the mood for fishing again.
Keep plugging away and you'll be rewarded sometime sooner rather than later and when you do get rewarded then your will get the fishing bug again!!

bloody well hope so tilly might have to venture a bit further north instead of hartlepool not sure where tho as soon as i get a half decent fish or even a half decent session il be right back into it just a case of finding some sort of form

My advice would be to keep trying and the good times will come back. I packed in some 12 years ago after a poor season. What finally cracked me was fishing at West Bay on what were perfect conditions and I never got a bite, got home hung up my rods and didn't start again until last year. Things havent improved I am still not catching much but its good getting out of the house and at least I have my enthusiasm back. But I wish I hadn,t stopped.
keep trying mate, fishing is a bit like supporting Newcastle. you live in hope things will improve. One day they will

cheers guys and as for suproting newcastle just as well im a teessider lol not that they are much better either lol

marks like the chems beach the seaham south pier and noses point should produce fish for you aslong as you arent bothered about losing a few sinkers

yes its a mixture of heavy kelp and rocks but there is lots of gulleys so its best to go down on low water so u can see what you are fishing on
