was working down at the UKHO again recently and did my usual snooping about to extract whatever could be extracted. they're colalting a historical record of shipping at the mo, not sure whether it'll ever be publically available, and its usuall south-centric fashion, they've not looked up here in much detail yet, but for those that wondered why the adastra is so big...

I'm gonna try collate what local ones I can when I get a chance, there's some very big lumps down there, and its nice to know what your fishing over

blagged a hard copy of the UKHO/Lloyds register of shipping for eastern england as well. every vessel that ever was is in it. Some of the stories/officer reports of how they foundered are quite comical reading.

things along the lines of 'what I assumed was another ship at anchor, I now know was a house close to the shore, as I was navigating on the east cost of england I now realise I made an error to attempt to steer west of it'
